El Oumara Hotel is located in the center of Tunis, making it easy to get around the city by taxi or public transportation. If you prefer walking, the hotel is close to the Medina, Gare de Tunis, and Tunis Marine station. The staff were friendly, and Mariam at the reception answered all our questions very politely. The breakfast was very good, with many options, and the staff at the restaurant were also very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was done regularly, and the room always smelled fresh after cleaning. Fresh sheets and towels were provided every day.

Great location, 3 min to the train station and about 15 to Habib Bourgiba Avenue. Beds are comfy, there's aircon and luggage storage after checkout. It's pretty basic but clean and comfy. Staff was lovely, especially the older male receptionist who fixed the internet in the evening and the lovely lady on days who helped with our bags and spoke good English. I'd stay here again.

As a lady traveling alone, I felt safe as soon as I arrived. I dealt mostly with the receptionist - Mariam & the majordomo - Mohammed. It is very easy to navigate from hotel to town centre / Medina from the hotel which is on a very distinguishable quiet, tree-lined street almost across from train & near everything a tourist would want to visit...or restaurants etc. Everything works in the room...Equipped with many towels, TV phone, electronic mosquito repellant... (Ex. Am now staying in a much more expensive hotel on beach & an phone, TV not working, 1 towel...etc 🙄) The best thing I loved was soaking in the HUGE, old- fashioned bathtub after traveling or sightseeing! 😁

No frills, comfortable, fine for a night! Pros: comfortable bedding, quiet area, breakfast included (basic buffet style), good location (very near to train and south louagge station), friendly staff! Cons: my room smelled slightly of cigarettes, but I didn't think to request a nonsmoking room so this is my fault; there were no restaurants open nearby on a Saturday night which I found strange, and no way to mount the showerhead on the wall unfortunately. All these things were minor though and for what I paid I would definitely stay again.

All the staff very kind. The bed incredible confortable. The location is close (5 minutes walking) to the medina and to the main street, were you can find everything (restaurants, change ...)

I chose the El Oumara. hotel due to convenient location close to Tunis railway station and also because the hotel is easy to reach from the airport. Taxi costed 30 dinars on night time and it took less than 15 minutes from the terminal. The room was comfortable and clean, the breakfast was good and offered good value to money ratio. The staff was very helpful and kind. Specially young lady at the reception - she was very kind, professional and friendly. As mentioned before, the railway station is literally around the corner and it took couple minuts to reach walking. All this with fairly cheap room price - will definetely come again for your guest :-)

A good selection of various choices, cereals, salads, boiled eggs, sausages, breads, yoghurts, milkshakes, juices, hot drinks . Freshly served. Friendly and helpful restaurant staff .

Firstly I would like to thank Ms. Mariyam from the front office for being so polite, helpful and courteous. She is extremely customer centric and always went out of her way to do whatever she could to help. The hotel is centrally located, very close to the main railway station and hence public transport is always available. The room is comfortable and clean. The housekeeping staff are also so courteous. The WiFi connection is good. The room size and bathroom size are also good and overall, I would highly recommend this hotel

Really comfortable hotel. The rooms match the description perfectly, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. They assisted me with getting taxis—which can be a bit tricky—and kindly stored my luggage free of charge. The location is very convenient, quite close to the Medina, though it doesn’t offer particularly spectacular views. I would recommened it!
